ISAs.
Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) are a good way of accumulating virtually tax free growth and/or income, using your full investment allowances every tax year can help to build up significant tax free portfolios over the years. There are two different ISA versions, from which you can select either a 'mini' or 'maxi' account, depending upon your requirements.
ISA's are a useful way of obtaining tax free interest on deposits or as a way of gaining exposure to tax free capital growth by investing in equities and other securities, like bonds and commercial property, on a global basis.
To refresh your memory, you can invest up to £10,680 in the current tax year, either choosing to put the full amount into stocks and shares, Maxi Investment ISA or putting up to £5,340 in cash deposits, and £5,340 in equities as Mini ISAs. This allowance will be indexed each tax year to increase what you can save.
Cash ISA's (including old TESSA's) can be transfererred to a stocks and shares ISA, but this cannot be done the other way around. However, many ISA Funds can use collective cash, fixed interest, gilt and bond funds to continue with lower risk tax free growth opportunities.
Naturally, there are a huge number of ISA funds trying to grab your attention and it is important that you choose one that reflects your attitude to risk.
We offer a comprehensive research service that matches fund selection to suit your needs and investment disposition. This service, called 'Active Fund Selection' is also used to check the performance suitability of any existing PEP/ISA funds that you may hold as these also must be checked for their performance and suitability.
